A former middle school teacher of Language Arts and Journalism, she went on to become a Magnet Coordinator and Professional Development Specialist. She was both a middle and high school Assistant Principal in Montgomery County Public Schools where she was nominated Assistant Principal of the Year. Ms. Valbrun joined the staff of Walkersville Middle School as its Proud Principal in 2007.
